EU Bulletin is an online resource from Excellis Business Consulting to disseminate information on the European Union (EU) open consultations and other pertinent developments, usually instigated by the European Commission.

EU Bulletin is intended to help stimulate and increase participation levels in EU open consultations from all stakeholders, particularly micro and SME businesses and entrepreneurs.

Public consultation on FinTech: a more competitive and innovative European financial sector

Through this open consultation the Directorate‑General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union (DG FISMA) is seeking input from all citizens and organisational stakeholders to further develop the European Commission's policy for technological innovation in financial services.

DG FISMA is inviting stakeholders' perspectives on the imapct of the new technologies on the European financial services sector, both from the perspective of the providers of financial services and consumers. Moreover, stakeholders' views are sought on whether the regulatory and supervisory framework fosters technological innovation in line with its three core principles of technologic neutrality, proportionality and integrity.

The stakeholders' feedback will help the Commission to gauge how FinTech can make the EU Single Market for financial services more competitive, inclusive and efficient.
