Foresight Leadership: Research in book by Time's editor highlights the discords between finance and business

May, 2016

In a book entitled ‘Makers and Takers: The Rise of Finance and the Fall of American Business’ (May 2016), Rana Foroohar, the Time magazine’s assistant managing editor echoes and iterates the key assertions cited in our Foresight Leadership™ series of articles.

The persistent malaise in the American financial and economic sectors and the role of CEOs was highlighted in the articles ‘De-risking the economy: One SME at a time’ (August 2012) and Foresight Leadership: Hail the Chief Enterprise Officer (CEnO) (July 2010).

The book along with the cited articles provides key pointers and useful lessons for the UK and EU policymakers, too. An overview of the book and its subject matter context may be gleaned here (external site**).
