Zaf Gandhi is a managing consultant & partner of Excellis Business Consulting - an independent consultancy and advisory practice, based in London, U.K. He has over 30 years of professional experience spanning aerospace/air transport, NewSpace, artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies.

As an experienced business founder, entrepreneur and innovator, he combines his strong technical skills and commercial know-how to design and deliver game-changing value propositions for his clients and partners in the UK and internationally. His current business ventures include aerospace, energy harvesting and leveraging artificial intelligence to create transformational change in business and society.

In his executive management role, he conducts strategic reviews and independent assessments of large-scale, multi-million value, technology and innovation programmes/projects, often on behalf of clients and institutional investors.

Along with a Masters degree (with distinction) in Technology Management, he also has a Bachelors degree (with honours) in Aeronautical Engineering from Bristol and Salford universities (UK), respectively. He holds Chartered Engineer (CEng) accreditation, jointly awarded by the UK Engineering Council and the Royal Aeronautical Society.

Zaf has previously served in leadership and senior management roles with global firms, including American Management Systems Inc. (acquired by CGI Inc.) and BAE Systems Plc. He successfully strategised, designed and managed large-scale (multi-million value) customer, process and technology transformation/change programmes from inception to operational rollout, both in-house and client-side in the EMEA region.

Earlier in his career, he pursued his lifelong passion for aircraft and aerospace at BAE's Future Projects offices in Manchester (UK), where he worked on numerous pioneering design and innovation projects; mainly involving the BAE and Airbus family of aircraft. He was awarded the Roy Chadwick, CBE prize for his contributions to business performance and process improvement.

A British national, Zaf is married with two sons; with whom he shares his interests of fishing, travel and his keen eye for a cricket ball (having been an all-round member of BAE's Lancaster Lions CC).
