This public consultation, and the concurrent consultation on
digital operational resilience,
are initiatives for supporting and nurturing digital financial services in Europe.
Therefore, the European Commission is proactively inviting contributions from all citizens and organisations.
Views are particularly sought from the EU Member States as well as national authorities, market participants from the
crypto-asset sector (crypto-asset exchanges, trading platforms, wallet providers, users, etc.). Additionally, participation in this consultation is encouraged for
the financial services sector; including financial market infrastructures such as trading venues, central securities depositaries, central counterparties, investment firms,
asset managers, electronic money issuers, payment services providers, etc.
Moreover, EU businesses (start-ups, SMEs, issuers of securitie, etc.),
FinTech organisations, technology experts (e.g. blockchain developers, etc.), academics and EU citizens are also encouraged to provide their input to this consultation.
